Passport info please!

Looking for an answer!
I am visiting Croatia in 3 weeks and I have just realised that my passport  only has a couple of months left on it. I've browsed  the net but it's really confusing to find all the info on one place,and what amount of time you're supposed to have on your passport!  I don't want to get a new passport unless I really have to but I don't want to get turned away at the airport!

Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated?
