Motovun is a town in central Istria, situated on a hill 277m above sea level with views of vineyards and the famous Motovun forest, home to sought after black and white truffles.
With its Medieval fortification walls it is known as one of the most impressive medieval towns in Istria with many examples of Venetian architecture originating from the period Motovun spent under the Venetian empire.
Events: Home to the annual Summer international film festival: The "International Motovun Film Festival" which shows independent films from across the World.
