Description:
Pula is situated in the south of Istria. It is the largest city and port in Istria and, because it's not reliant on the tourist trade, is busy all year around. As well as being famous for its superb example of a colosseum (sixth largest in the world) which dates back to the second century, Pula is also an important ship building centre.
Pula is popular with tourists, with events planned throughout the year and a large number of hotel rooms. The Verudela peninsula (2km from Pula) offers good beaches, restaurants and nightlife. There are a number of diving clubs in the area.
Events: Croatian Film festival in July, Pop Music Festival in July, both held in the Arena (colosseum).
Airport: Pula international Airport
