Umag is a town and port on the north west coast of Istria.Umag is a popular all year round tourist resort with a good choice of accommodation on offer.It boasts a Marina, several Diving Clubs, Casino, restaurants, discos, cafes and bars. There is even an Equestrian centre and school in town.

There are several good beaches: Katoro and Polynesia beaches both offer a combination of sand and pebbles, both have good facilities and are both blue flag beaches. Polynesia beach has a nudist section. 

Events: St Pelegrin (patron saint of Umag) end of May, Many concerts over Summer. Annual ATP tennis tournement.

Visit: Baroque church of St Mary, old town walls.
