Description:
Brtonigla is a town in North West Istria, built on the former Roman settlement of Ortus Niger. Of the towns population of 827 over 40% of the population claim Italian as their mother tongue.
To see: The Neo Baroque church of St Zeno (1861) with its 36m high bell tower from an older church (1480) and the bells (1512).
