The research results of the U.S. company Travel Leaders, which were published by Reuters on 30th December 2011, indicate that more than a third of U.S. travel agents picked Croatia as the most desirable, "the upcoming" destination in Europe for 2012.
Travel Leaders Franchise Group is the largest travel agencies franchise in North America consisting of more than 1250 agencies.
The survey, which included 640 travel agencies at the national level, showed that Americans will spend more on traveling to distant destinations, despite the crisis in the market and unstable economy.
The interest of the U.S. market for Croatian destinations increased after several popular American travel magazine included Croatia in their "top" recommendations for 2012.
