Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said on 11.03.2009.,in parliament that the government would introduce some new anti-recession measures.Sanader said the new anti-recession measures would include additional borrowing and an increased national budget deficit.
Sanader also confirmed the government would adopt an amended budget in the second half of March.
The Croatian government approved an anti-recession package at the end of February.
Its provisions include an amended budget in the second part of March, more support for the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR), lower taxes to boost the economy, more support for tourism and the housing market and reduction of the deadline for payments by public companies to 60 days to help ensure companies' solvency.
