Description:
Three Croatian companies will build a highway in Montenegro that will cost 2.94 billion Euros.A Croatian consortium led by the Split company Konstruktor tendered the winning bid for 188 kilometres of highway between Bar and Boljare. Construction companies Tehnika and IGH are the other members of the consortium.
The consortium's main competitors were Austrian Strabag, Greek Aktor and Israeli Construction and Housing.
IGH head Jure Radic said he believed the work could last for ten years because it would be extremely difficult, featuring 42 tunnels and 92 bridges and viaducts.
The Montenegro Ministry of Transport said work on the highway would start in six months.
The Croatian consortium will have a 30-year-long concession to maintain the highway once when it has been finished.
