Koprivnica giant Easter eggs to go on tour

Fourteen giant Easter eggs from the northern Croatian city of Koprivnica will tour 13 cities, including a few abroad.
The eggs are 2.05 metres high and weigh 30 kilos apiece. Made of polyester, the eggs have been painted by twenty artists, all members of local artistic associations.
The eggs, decorated with naive art, will visit New York, Madrid, Budapest, Bratislava, Klagenfurt, Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Varazdin, Koprivnica, Bjelovar, Djurdjevac, Krizevci and Molve.
They will be on exhibit for three weeks in each city. The first exhibition will be on 28 March in Klagenfurt, according to the daily "Vecernji list."
Koprivnica tourist board head Zdravko Mihevec believes the egg tour will be the best way to wish everyone a Happy Easter.
Koprivnica-Krizevci county head Darko Koren adds the tour will be a unique way to exhibit Croatian naive art and to promote the county.
The project, named  "Easter egg from the heart," has become a real tourist attraction in which numerous foreign media have shown great interest.
