Croatians keen to encourage Serb tourism

22 March 2009

Description:

Croatians have expressed their desire to attract more Serbian tourists to the country, it has been revealed.
Croatia has long been a favourite with visitors the world over, but the nation has not traditionally been a holiday destination for residents of Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia.
This could all be set to change though, according to the New York Times, which has found that people in the coastal city of Dubrovnik are keen to embrace Serbian visitors.
Goran Strok, a hotel owner in Dubrovnik, told the New York Times that the country was keen to strengthen its ties with its neighbour to the east.
He commented: "The Serbs are also good people and the time has come to reach out to them.
"I want to see Serb tourists in Dubrovnik."
