The first Croatian robot was presented by Zagreb University's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture on 25.03.2009.Croatian Institute of Technology (HIT) head Pero Munivarana said the Croatian robot was a technological miracle and the result of the extension of an earlier project.
The robot is a complex robotic system that performs complicated prefabricated operations. HIT and Croatian companies funded the project. HIT supported it with two million kunas or 267,000 Euros.
According to Munivrana, the high-tech robot should make work easier at many companies.
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture Professor Bojan Jerbic said the robot would automation in industry because it can do the work of two or three men.
Jerbic added the robot would be fully implemented in company systems by 2011.
