Zagreb gets second U2 date

A second U2 concert will be held on 9 August at Maksimir stadium in Zagreb.
Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic and Croatian concert organizer Lupa promotion agency confirmed yesterday that the second concert would be held the day before the first-scheduled concert on10 August at Maksimir stadium because of extremely-high interest in the group.
All 63,000 tickets for U2's Zagreb concert on 10 August were sold in fewer than 12 hours.
Now, fans will be able to buy tickets for the additional concert online from 10 am on 1 April until 5pm on 2 April.
Non fan-club members can buy tickets on line from 6 am on 3 April and at CD-shops and tourist agencies from 9 am.
Some believe a second concert had always been in the works and promoters had used speculation about it as a marketing trick device.
Proof of that can be seen in the intervals between U2's Zagreb and other concerts in its "360 Degree Tour - Kiss the Future," the daily "Jutarnji list" has reported.
