Red Bull Cliff diving series 2009 in Dubrovnik

Red Bull has announced tour dates for their 2009 cliff diving series. One of the locations on the callendar is Dubrovnik, Croatia. Dubrovnik Event will happen on July 11th 2009 at 4 PM.  Remembering the same event a few years ago this is a must see spectacle.

Cliff diving is considered to be the top in diving. Highs of the cliffs range from 23 to 28 meters. Divers have about 3 seconds to coordinate their forms before they hit the water at speeds over 100 km/h. In Dubrovnik, divers will be competing from the cliff by the Lovrjenac fortress (Fort Lawrence), 15th century fortress located just outside city walls. Divers have to actualy go trough the caste gate and the atrium in order to reach the diving takeoff. The best views to the event will be from Nautika Restaurant and the whole Brsalje area and Pile gate.
