Blue Flag award given to Dubrovnik marina and beaches.

For the eleventh time in the Dubrovnik ACI Marina,the notable Blue Flag award was given to  Dubrovnik ACI Marina last week.The new Prefect t of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County,Nikola Dobroslavić attended the flag-raising ceremony.
The Blue Flag was raised by Nedjeljko Šimunović, a long-standing employee of the Dubrovnik ACI Marina,with a symbolical help of Eko-omblić, an NGO.The new director of the Dubrovnik ACI Marina Mato Franković said that the the Blue Flag is a very important recognition for beaches or marinas.The ACI Marina situated in Komolac is the first marina in southern Croatia to  receive this prestigious prize.The Blue Flag is a recognition presented to beaches and marinas as part of an international ecological program for the protection of the environment, sea and coastline, whose primary objective is the sustainable development and management of the sea and coastal regions.Marina in Komolac is just one of few locations in Dubrovnik-Neretva County,awarded with Blue Flag,few others are beaches located at Hotel «Osmina» in Osmina near Slano, at Hotel «Dubrovnik President» at Babin Kuk, at Hotel «Neptune» in Lapad and at Hotel «Croatia» in Cavtat.
