Croatian breaks another Guinness record in car-pushing

17 June 2009

Description:

Croat Mario Mlinaric has set a new Guinness record for pushing a car weighing two tonnes 1,609 metres in fewer than 21 minutes.
Mlinaric, 29, broke the old world record last week by pushing that type of a car that distance in the city of Velika Gorica near Zagreb in only 15.21 minutes, the newspaper 24 sata has reported. He broke the old world record by five minutes and 39 seconds.
Mlinaric said: "When I started to push the car, I felt I would lose consciousness as I was not getting enough oxygen, but I recovered. It was difficult because that discipline is one of the most demanding."
Mlinaric is the owner of one more  Guinness record. He set the first two years ago with his friend Krunoslav Budiselic. Together, they pushed a car weighing one tonne 81 kilometres in 24 hours.
Mlinaric is also known for his appearance on the Croatian reality show "The Farm," which ended two weeks ago. He won 380,000 kunas or 52,370 Euros on the show.
