Holiday in Croatia: The ethical choice

A study by the Ethical Traveler of more than 70 countries has ranked Croatia among the world's top ten most ethical holiday destinations.

Destinations were rated on environmental protection, human rights and social welfare. Croatia scored particularly highly for its environmental protection due to the large number of protected environmental regions. According to Jeff Greenwald, executive director of Ethical Traveler , the report would help "travellers who choose to use their tourism dollars to support human rights and the environment".

Other countries that made it into the top ten were Costa Rica, Estonia, Namibia, South Africa, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile & Nicaragua.
