Croatian prime minister resigns

Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader has resigned, the daily newspaper Jutarnji List has reported today (Weds) in its online edition.
The newspaper added that Sanader had also resigned as president of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ).
The newspaper did not cite a reason for the prime minister's resignation.
Sanader is expected to make a public announcement this afternoon.
Government's Vice President Jadranka Kosor is rumoured to be the new prime minister.
