Spanish carrier connects Madrid and Zagreb

The first direct flight between Madrid and Zagreb by Spanish national airline Iberia arrived on Saturday at Zagreb airport.
The Airbus A-320 had 140 passengers, and 71 were on the return flight to Madrid, Hina news agency has reported.
There will be two weekly flights, on Saturdays and Sundays, until 20 September.
At a reception on the occasion of the first flight, Iberia Commercial Director Manuel Lopez Colmenarejo said Zagreb would be the only new Iberia destination in 2009. He added Iberia might continue the flights until the end of the year.
In the last few years there has been a notable increase in the number of tourists from Spain visiting Croatia.
