Record number of passengers on Split's airport

Description:

There were 17,500 passengers at Split airport on Saturday, a record number for one day in 2009.
On Saturday, 88 commercial and ten private aircraft landed at the airport.
Mirko Zuzul from Split Airport told Hina news agency that most of the flights had arrived from Scandinavian countries, followed by Germany, the UK, France and Switzerland.
The airport expects the largest number of passengers in August. Zuzul said the first Saturday in August would see 20,000 passengers, including arrivals and departures.
