Beach on the Croatian island chosen as the most beautiful in Europe

09 July 2009

Description:

"Zlatni rat" (Golden Cape) near Bol on Brac Island is the most-beautiful beach in Europe, according to the Daily Telegraph in the UK.
The Bol tourist board has reported the beach is on Lonely Planet website's list of the world's ten most-beautiful beaches and has been rated the most-beautiful in the Mediterranean by the website.
The beach is a paradise for surfers and water-sport lovers and is bordered by a grove of pine trees suitable for an afternoon nap.
According to Lonely Planet, Zlatni rat is proof that tourism can be developed in a socially- responsible manner.
Known locally as the golden horn, the beach is longer than 500 metres. The beach has a unique character since it changes shape with seasonal tides, currents and wind.
