"Zlatni rat" (Golden Cape) near Bol on Brac Island is the most-beautiful beach in Europe, according to the Daily Telegraph in the UK.The Bol tourist board has reported the beach is on Lonely Planet website's list of the world's ten most-beautiful beaches and has been rated the most-beautiful in the Mediterranean by the website.
The beach is a paradise for surfers and water-sport lovers and is bordered by a grove of pine trees suitable for an afternoon nap.
According to Lonely Planet, Zlatni rat is proof that tourism can be developed in a socially- responsible manner.
Known locally as the golden horn, the beach is longer than 500 metres. The beach has a unique character since it changes shape with seasonal tides, currents and wind.
