55th Split Summer Festival opened

Description:

The 55th traditional Split Summer Festival opened yesterday evening with performances of ballet and Carmina Burana.
The Split Summer Festival will last until 14 August, with 1,500 artists from 22 countries participating in it.
For the first time in its history, the Split Summer Festival has become part of the international festival European Musical Summer supported by the European Union.
Besides Croatia, the other partners in European Musical Summer are Italy, the Czech Republic and Slovenia.
