Description:
A strong thunderstorm struck southern Croatia yesterday.The storm began in the valley of the Neretva River and on Peljesac peninsula, but the worst occurred in Opuzen, where the storm damaged cars and the roofs of many houses and produced 29 litres of rain per square metre.
On Peljesac peninsula, the rain produced 47 litres of rain per square metre, and the temperature dropped by 15 degrees Celsius.
A strong storm in the area destroyed many farmers' crops last year. The amount of damage caused by today's storm is still unknown.
