1.5 million tourists entered Croatia last weekend

A total of 1,561,000 tourists entered Croatia this past weekend, 25,000 more than during the first weekend in August 2008.
That number included 1,270,000 foreign tourists and 291,000 domestic tourists who used 511,000 vehicles. At the same time, 1,472,000 tourists left Croatia.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the number of vehicles was the highest for a weekend this year and 57 more than on the previous weekend.
Saturday had the highest numbers, with 618,000 tourists and 196,000 vehicles entering Croatia.
