Description:
Because of the large number of fans expected to attend this month's two U2 concerts, Zagreb will introduce special traffic regulations on 9 and 10 August. Those measures will apply to a large area around Maksimir stadium where the concerts will take place.
Around 120,000 fans are expected to attend the two concerts. Organizers have appealed to them to use public transport.
Organisers are also asking local residents for understanding in regard to noise because stage construction can done only at night because of the heat.
The big stage at Maksimir stadium will be 55-metres high and 70-metres wide. One part of the stage will be 25 metres higher than seats in the stadium.
Concert tickets priced at 730 kunas (100 Euros) and 1,000 kunas (137 Euros) are still available.
Organizers have said no liquids or umbrellas will be allowed into the stadium. Some 1,000 security personnel will search all ticket-holders before they enter the stadium.
Drinks will be available inside the stadium.
