Record number of visitors on city walls in Dubrovnik

Description:

Dubrovnik's walls were visited by 383,000 guests in the first seven months of 2009.
Some 382,000 people visited them during the same period last year.
In July, the walls had a record monthly number of visitors, 141,000, 4,000 more than in July 2008.
The city has introduced an electronic system of ticket sales that have reduced crowds and made sightseeing easier.
Hina news agency has reported the city expects around 770,000 people, which will surpass last year's record of 763,000, to visit the walls in 2009.
