Description:
The Croatian Parliament has just brought out a new law banning smoking and the use of tobacco products in all indoor public areas, with the exception of psychiatric hospitals.
Public buildings, cafés and the tobacco industry will have six months to adhere to the new law which is in force as of today in educational and health institutions.
The Law prescribes that each packet of cigarettes must also have a health warning on it, advising of the hazards of smoking, and an additional warning that must cover at least 40% of the surface on the back side of the pack.
