Opening of Vukovar film festival

Description:

The third Vukovar film festival is being held from 26 to 30 August in Vukovar in eastern Croatia.
The Festival opened yesterday (Weds) with the short German feature film "Suzuki" by Christoph Wermk and the feature film "Berlin Calling" by Hannes Stohr.
Festival director Igor Rakonic especially thanked Germany for being this year's country partner.
A total 40 of films, including seven feature and seven short feature films and 11 documentaries, are being screened during the festival.
The jury members are film reviewer Janko Heidl, actor Nina Violoc and Bernd Buder, the Berlin Film festival adviser.
The Vukovar film festival is unique because it is actually the only one literally floating on a river because the open-air cinema a barge moored on the Danube River in the city.
