President Mesić at opening of Kempinski hotel in Istria

31 August 2009

Description:

The Kempinski Hotel Adriatic was officially opened by President Stjepan Mesić on Friday evening in Savudrija, Istria.
At the opening ceremony, Mesic stressed Croatia needed investment because the country's economy could not grow without it.
Mesić added that the Kempinski hotel opening sent a significance message to others.
He said: "Although the world, including Croatia, faces a crisis, this is a message that investment in Croatia is worthwhile. If Kempinski succeeds, others can as well. "
Kempinski Hotel Adriatic representative Ljubica Marfan said the resort's opening was an accomplishment he had long been waiting for.
The Croatian five-star luxury seaside Golf & Spa Resort is the first hotel of an international luxury hotel group on the northwestern coast of Istria.
The hotel, which cost 1.6 billion kunas or 217 million Euros, has luxury villas, the first championship 18-hole golf course in Croatia, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, 186 rooms equipped with modern technology, 19 suites, two presidential suites and three restaurants.
