Aspects of Sustainable Development to be discussed on confernce in Dubrovnik

The fifth Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environmental Systems will be held from 29 September to 3 October in Dubrovnik.
The conference is dedicated to the improvement of knowledge about methods, policies and technologies for increasing the sustainability of development of energy, transport, water and environment systems.
The Dubrovnik Conference has become a significant venue for researchers in those areas.
It will feature more than 300 participants and the same number of lectures this year.
The Conference will cover energy, water and transport policy, primary energy resources,  sustainable tourism, biofuels and recycled waste.
Lecturers will include Henrik Lund, a  professor of Energy Planning at Denmark's Aalborg University and editor-in-chief of Elsevier International's journal "Energy," Professor Noam Lior from the University of Pennsylvania in the USA, Professor Maria G. Carvalho from the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, Portugal and Professor Zhang Xiliang from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
The Zagreb Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture and Instituto Superior Technico in Lisbon are organizing the conference.
It will also feature special workshops that will be open to the public free of charge.
