The government does not distinguish between light and heavy drugs, and neither do current regulations. No changes in the law have been agreed upon, Prime Minister says.The Government is currently not considering making any drugs legal, the President of the Government, Jadranka Kosor responded in an interview during her visit to the Koncar factory.
- We (the government) do not distinguish between light and hard drugs, and neither do current regulations. The term 'drugs' is the only term mentioned in the Criminal Code. No changes to the Criminal Code have been agreed upon, the Ministry of Justice is currently not working on changing it and no commissions have been formed - said Kosor.
There were plans for reducing penalties for possession of soft drugs,but these have now be postponed and law will probabbly not be changed under current administration.
