According to the Guardian & Observer, Croatia is the most popular tourist destination in Europe after Switzerland and Sweden .
The Croatian tourist board stated that Croatia has jumped up from 10th place last year, to now being ahead of Austria and Italy.
More than 17,000 readers returned questionnaires in the 22nd annual survey.
