Opening of fantasy theme park near Zagreb

The Samobor firm Fantazija vodeni park (fantasy - aqua park) has acquired from the city of Samobor a licence for aqua park Fantasyland Schmidhen.
The park will be located in the area where there used to be the popular Schmidhen recreational area that has fallen into ruin.
The company still needs to get a building permit. Once it does, it is planning to start construction immediately.
The firm has refused to say how much the park will cost but has announced the city of Samobor near Zagreb and Croatia will get a park that will improve the Croatian economy and the tourism industry.
Fantasyland will have 27.3 hectares and, besides indoor and outdoor pools, a luxury hotel, a medical polyclinic, a wellness centre and a sports complex.
Hina news agency has announced the park will create more than 800 new jobs.
