Croatian tourism minister satisfied with tourist season

Croatian Tourism Minister Damir Bajs has said Croatia can be satisfied with the results this year in regard to tourism.
Together with Croatian Tourist board head Niko Bulic, Bajs presented results through September this past Saturday.
In the period from January through September, Croatia had 55.2 overnights, one per cent more than in the same period last year. Foreign tourists had 49.6 million overnights.
In September, Croatia had 6.2 million overnights, seven per cent more than in the same month of 2008.
Croatia had 9.2 million tourist arrivals in the first nine months of 2009, two per cent fewer than in the same period in 2008.
Bajs claimed Croatia was the only country that had had more arrivals and overnights during that period of 2009.
