Description:
Zagreb airport's new director Tonći Peović has decided to cut the price of airport services. The airport will decide on new prices within 10 days.
The daily Vecernji list has reported Zagreb airport is among airports in the region with the most expensive services, and Peovic has decided to change that.
Peovic's plan is to attract more discount airlines. He has already talked with
EasyJet and Ryanair representatives and expects they will have ten new flights to Zagreb.
Peović said: "Clearly, we should be careful not to lower our income through new, lower prices, but we should also encourage discount airlines by sharing with them the risk of new flights. But, at the same time, we should be careful not to harm airlines with which we have been cooperating for years."
Peovic has promised the new prices will be transparent and non-discriminatory.
He also said Croatia Airlines will not receive any privileges compared to other airlines.
