Description:
A new law will be passed that will abolish taxes on profits earned by foreigners in Croatia.
According to the daily newspaper Vjesnik, the change will mean Croatia's treasury will lose 50 million kunas a year in tax revenue. Nevertheless, some politicians support the law.
An MP from the ruling party HDZ, said: "A decline in tax revenue would be compensated for by opportunities that accession to the European Union would present".
