Description:
A controversial novel about a gay football player has been published in Croatian. Written by French author Nicolas Bendini, the novel tells the story of a Croatian footballer called Goran Klasic who falls in love with an 18 year old student from Paris. Set in both countries, the book caused ripples and controversy since although it is a work of fiction, many have drawn comparisons with real life Croatian football players.
The novel "Samo na jednu noc" (Only for One Night) will be promoted at the 32nd International Book and Teaching Appliances Fair "Interliber 2009" that will be held from 11 to 15 November in Zagreb and it's promotion is also being driven by non-governmental association Domino conducts to combat homophobia.
