Poor Ivan Banovic who plays for Medjimurje Cakovec, was shocked to discover a cat on the pitch during the first division match played at Sibenik on Saturday! The Croatian first division match between Sibenik and Medjimurje Cakovec was halted after Banovic did the cat friendly thing and picked the football fan cat up to put him off the field and out of the way of play, but was rewarded with a yellow card for his trouble!
The moggie interrupted the game in the 20th minute of Saturday's match, played in the coastal town of Sibenik and the referee was not in the mood for distractions and gave the yellow card since the goalie had left the pitch without permission. 

Sibenik won 1-0 and the cat incident left fans of the losing side even more angry and the referee received insults from the crowd.
