Champions League Match Fixing - only one Croatain game investigated

Description:

According to German officials, approximately 200 football matches across Europe are being investigated for match fixing and corruption. Some of these are believed to be Champions League games. It is alleged that players, coaches and referees have been involved in taking bribes to fix the results of matches in in order that millions of Euros of illegal betting can take place.

14 Croatian games were due to be looked into as part of the investigation but it has emerged that only one will now be chosen as part of the huge Europe-wide investigation. Speculation by local media supposes that the game is the April Zadar and Hajduk Split match but this has been refuted by Reno Sinovcic of Zadar and by players alike.
