Description:
The newspaper The Sunday Times has recommended Dubrovnik along with cities such as Lisbon, Parma, Marrakech, Istanbul and Krakow as having good real estate investment potential. The advantages of these cities, according to the newspaper, are that they are well-connected to the United Kingdom and have lower real-estate prices than many other well-known European cities.
The newspaper noted the fact that the price increased dramatically in last ten years, but that prices are unlikely to decline much during the current economic and financial crisis due to terrain difficulties and obstacles preventing building development. Until now, the purchase of real estate in Croatia for a foreign citizen was a very complex bureaucratic process, but from February 2009 new laws will simplify the process for them a great deal.
