5-star resort to be opened near Dubrovnik

In early July of 2009, an elite 5-star resort called Dubrovnik Gardens of the Sun (Dubrovacki vrtovi sunca) will open in Orašac near Dubrovnik. The project is a 170 million euros joint-venture between Hidrocommerce and Jupiter Adria and is expected to enrich accommodation provision in the Dubrovnik region and also to encourage year-round tourism with its facilities.

The first phase will include a Radisson SAS hotel with 210 rooms and 207 suites, a congress centre with ten hall, seating one thousand people, a wellness centre, a sports centre stretching over 7000 square meters, and three outdoor pools.

The second phase of construction, scheduled for completion in 2010, will see the opening of the Hotel Regent with 130 rooms.

The resort will put on numerous events and, thanks to boat transport system, guests will have easy access to the cultural landmarks of the famous City of Dubrovnik.
