Croatia is in the Semi-Finals!

In the most important game of the European Handball Championship, Croatia finally managed to pull out a convincing victory against current champions from Denmark. It was an intense game but Croatia managed to win by four goal difference; it was 27:23. With this victory, Croatian players are continuing their march to the only gold medal they are missing.

The fantastic man of the match and one of the main players who made this victory happen was the goalkeeper Mirko Alilović. He was absolutely amazing with his 18 saves; he totally locked his net for the Denmark team. But it is important to add that there was no man who wasn’t in the mood tonight, because every one of them contributed in this big victory. The whole team played well - unlike the last several games on the championship.

In the semifinal Croatia will play against Poland who qualified as 2nd in their group stage of the competition. The other semifinal pair is France and Island. If Croatia continues this good form and plays like this in the next two games, the gold medal is guaranteed.
