Dubrovnik is the second most romantic location to spend Valentine's Day according to The Guardian Newspaper

 

The British daily newspaper, The Guardian, ranked Dubrovnik as the second most romantic location to spend Valentine's Day. The journalist Annabelle Thorpe states that Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton used Dubrovnik as their romantic getaway and that the city still offers the right combination of glamour and romance. The Old Town of Dubrovnik is described as containing charming boutiques and jewelry stores with unusual accessory and many cafes.

Furthermore the newspaper recommends the hotel Excelsior which offers a beautiful view of the Old Town and the island of Lokrum.

Prague ranked first on the list of top destinations for Valentine's day. The third most romantic place is Istanbul, followed by Marrakech and Vienna.
