Description:
The recent 7.0 magnitude earthquake that devastated the country of Haiti on the 12th of January has left many families torn apart. The country had already 380,000 orphans before the earthquake according to the United Nations Children Fund, UNICEF.
Croatian residents are looking at a possibility of adopting these young children that have lost everything. Croatian media has reported several inquiries into local adoption agencies. Other Croatians are offering their homes as places where the Haitians may stay while their country begins the long rebuilding process.
According to the Red Cross, the earthquake has affected as many as 3 million people in Haiti.
