Owl Attacks on Uglian Island, Croatia!

Ugljan Island is on Owl alert after several locals have been attacked and a recent incident was reported of a dog being killed by an owl which has frightened locals, recalling Alfred Hitchcock's movie "Birds."

"I was lucky to have a bag so I could defend myself. I thought my heart was going to jump out of my body when the owl attacked me. I was so scared," Milojka Kandic from Kukljica on Ugljan Island told the tabloid 24 Sata.

A colleague was reportedly attacked by an owl some time before, and there have been other reports of an aggressive owl that attacks people.

"An owl will attack only if it is endangered while hunting", ornithologist Doctor Gordan Lukac has said.
