Description:
Two Turkish archaeologists have found the tomb of Dubrovnik's patron saint Vlaho in the Turkish city of Sivas, once named Sebast.
Sivas Deputy Mayor Zekia Sarilara informed Croatian Ambassador to Turkey Gordan Bakota about the find, and Bakota later told Dubrovnik officials about it.
The "Turkish Daily News" reported on the discovery.
St. Vlaho became Dubrovnik's patron saint after stopping a Venetian attack on Dubrovnik on the night of 2-3 February in the year 971.
Dubrovnik City Day is 3 February, an official holiday in the city.Croatia Resources
