Croatian play enters Guinness Book of Records

The play "Exercises in Style" has enjoyed a run of 40 years with the same cast, long enough to make it into the Guinness Book of Records. Zagreb's Planet Art Theatre Director Marko Torjanac gave the Guinness plaque to actors Pero Kvrgic and Lela Margitic after yet another performance of the play at Zagreb's Vidra Theatre at 19.01.2009.The play, by French playwright Raymond Queneau, opened on 19 January 1968. During the first year of performances, actress Mia Oremovic was the leading lady. She was replaced a year later by Margitic, who, along with Kvrgic, has continued to act in the play until now.
