As part of Dalmatia Wine Expo Festival in Croatia, experts selected 40 best Dalmatian restaurants

 

Voters of Dalmatia Wine Expo festival chosen forty top restaurants in Dalmatia, as well as the best wine-friendly restaurants.

 

Connoisseurs of gastronomy have selected 40 best restaurants in Dalmatia. The criterion for nomination was the overall impression during the visit. 

 

All voters, who were included in the selection during the last three months are culinary experts, mostly recruited among chefs, restaurant owners, enogastro journalists and famous gourmets. Awarding of those restaurant will be held at the Dalmacija Wine Expo Festival in Makarska, on April 29.

The best wine-friendly restaurants

Besides the 40 best restaurants, seven wine-friendly restaurants were also selected. Those are: Nikola - Stobreč, Nautika - Dubrovnik, Kadena - Split; Gil's - Dubrovnik; Pojoda - Vis, Foša - Zadar and LD Terrace (Lešić Dimitri Palace)- Korcula. 

 

The criterion of selection depended on the range of offered wines, compliance of wine list with the type of food being served, the width of the wine list, in which special attention was devoted to wine regions and education of staff that recommends and serves wines.

 

Organizers of Dalmatia Wine Expo designed selection of 40 best and wine-friendly restaurants to promote enogastro culture and tourism offer of Makarska, but also to stimulate public interest in the quality gastronomy.

 

Dalmatia Wine Expo will bring together more than a hundred producers of wine, delicacies and olive oil, representatives of top restaurants and hotels, Croatian top chefs, dignitaries from business, political and cultural scene and, in general, lovers of gastronomy.

 

The mission of the organizers of the fair - a team of young, educated and professional people – is to form the wine scene, but their vision is to become a must for all lovers of wine and foods.
