Description:
A remote, heart-shaped islet in the Adriatic has become a top attraction for couples in love in the run-up to St. Valentine's Day on 14 February. Thanks to photos at Google Earth, many people have noted the islet, named Galesnjak, has the shape of a heart. The family of Vlado Juresko from Preko on nearby Pasman Island, who owns Galesnjak, is ready to make the 130,000-square-metres islet available to couples as long as they are older than 16, according to daily newspaper "Slobodna Dalmacija."Juresko is also planning to organize a 1.5-kilometre-long race across the deserted islet for such couples, many of whom have already indicated interest in participating in it.Juresko claims Galesnjak looks more like a heart than any other island in the world, including Australian Heart Reef.
