The Croatian documentary "The Lost Treasure" has won an award at a French film festival.The 26-minute-long documentary by film and TV director Branko Istvancic and script-writer Vido Bagur won the jury's Special Prize at the "Festival du Film Pastoralismes et Grands Espaces 2008" in France held from 15 to 18 October 2008.The news arrived in Croatia only this week.The film was produced by the documentary-programme division at Croatian national TV (HTV) in 2005. It had already appeared at other international festivals and even received an award for best documentary at the "Eco Ethno Folk Film 2007" festival in Romania.The documentary's theme is the eternal fight between good and evil that makes human existence unique.The protagonist, Dara, lives with her husband, Rade Mitrovic, in the vicinity of Obrovac. They are the last authentic people in the area. The film follows Dara's efforts to track down a lost sheep.
