There will be direct flights between Scandinavian cities and Croatian tourist destinations on the Adriatic coast this summer. The flights will be between Copenhagen, Oslo and Helsinki and Split and Dubrovnik. Croatian tour operators and tourist agencies represented at Danish tourism fair FERIE2009, held from 23-25 January in Copenhagen, made the announcement. In addition, Norwegian discount airline Air Company Norwegian Air and Danish Cimber Air have taken over flights to Croatian destinations formerly provided by bankrupt Icelandic airline Sterling. Croatia Airlines will introduce direct flights between Gothenburg and Split and Dubrovnik and increase the number of flights between Copenhagen and Zagreb as of 12 June. Croatia was one of 50 countries represented at the Copenhagen fair.
